Terms of Service

Last Updated: May 17, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TFC League (“TFCL”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) website, services, competitive systems, and related platforms. By creating an account, participating in matches, or using any TFCL-operated service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

By using TFCL services, you represent that you meet all eligibility requirements for participation in TFCL competitions. TFCL may impose age, region, or account requirements for specific divisions or events.

2. Accounts & User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your TFCL account and any connected third‑party accounts (such as Steam). You agree that:

  • You will provide accurate information when creating or updating your account.
  • You will not impersonate other players or create fraudulent accounts.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. League Rules & Competitive Conduct

All players must follow the official TFCL Ruleset. The Ruleset governs competitive behavior, match procedures, roster requirements, penalties, and all gameplay‑related expectations.

The Ruleset is incorporated into these Terms by reference and can be found at:
https://tfcleague.com/rules

Violations of the Ruleset may result in warnings, suspensions, division bans, or permanent removal from TFCL.

4. Prohibited Behavior

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

  • Cheating, exploiting, or using unauthorized software or modifications.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior toward players or staff.
  • Match fixing, collusion, or other forms of competitive manipulation.
  • Attempting to disrupt TFCL services, servers, or infrastructure.

5. Match Servers, Demos & Logs

TFCL uses a combination of third‑party and internally operated servers to host competitive matches. By participating in TFCL matches, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • During Alpha and early seasons, TFCL may use serveme.tf to provide match servers and may share limited player information (such as Steam IDs and match metadata) for server creation and security.
  • Match demos and logs may be automatically uploaded to demos.tf and logs.tf, which store gameplay files, match statistics, and Steam identifiers.
  • As TFCL transitions to its own server network, cloud providers such as Vultr may receive technical data (such as IP addresses and connection logs) necessary for server operation and security.

These third‑party services operate under their own policies. TFCL does not control how they store or display match data.

6. Website Content & Intellectual Property

All TFCL branding, logos, website content, and league materials are the property of TFCL unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute TFCL content without permission.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as comments or profile information), but you grant TFCL a non‑exclusive license to display and use that content within the league ecosystem.

7. Suspension & Termination

TFCL reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts, restrict access to divisions, or remove players from competition for violations of these Terms, the Ruleset, or for behavior that harms competitive integrity.

8. Disclaimers

TFCL services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. TFCL does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error‑free operation, or the availability of match servers at all times.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TFCL is not liable for any damages arising from:

  • Use or inability to use TFCL services
  • Match outcomes, competitive rulings, or administrative decisions
  • Third‑party service failures (such as demos.tf, logs.tf, or server providers)
  • Loss of data, account access, or in‑game items

10. Changes to These Terms

TFCL may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in league operations, legal requirements, or service functionality. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will always indicate the most recent revision.
